ESS IS OFF TO A GREAT START 🌟

We had an amazing first week at ESS, and learning is officially underway! 🎉 Our classrooms have been filled with hands-on learning, collaboration, and plenty of fun.
In Ms. Pierce’s math class, students reviewed fraction operations through a fun and engaging Gallery Walk. In Ms. Williams’ class, students practiced integers using Magma Math,which captures student work while providing immediate feedback and support when students need assistance.
In Ms. Placek’s science class, students explored the scientific method by testing their hypotheses through a Mystery Tube Lab.They also learned the difference between scientific laws and theories and how theories are used to explain hypotheses.
Ms. Kindred’s class used their detective 🕵️ skills to determine word meanings using context clues.
And in PE, students had a blast with a competitive game of volleyball—with an extra dose of fun when a **giant kickball** joined the action! 🏐
