Fine Arts are Shining Bright at ESS

🎨🎶 Amazing Learning Is Happening at ESS! 🐯✨
This month, our Fine Arts program has been hard at work developing, discovering, and shining a light on the many talents of our ESS Tigers! From creating and designing to playing and performing, our students are learning that creativity is not just about making something—it’s about expressing themselves, taking risks, and discovering what they can do.
🎨 Mrs. Oliver’s class created astounding paper mâché projects while learning the art element of form and exploring the importance of structural integrity. Our Tigers put their creativity and problem-solving skills to work as they transformed ideas into incredible three-dimensional works of art!
🎺 Mrs. Chenier’s class is finding their rhythm as students begin learning to play scales, mastering a few new notes each day. Along the way, they are learning about harmony and chords as they practice and build their musical skills. Even their trumpet warm-up became a moment of fun when the sounds reminded us of “Flight of the Bumblebee!” 🐝🎶
🎵 Mr. Deason’s class is learning the basics of reading music—fa, so, la, ti, do! But there is nothing basic about his engaging approach! Students had a blast practicing this classic warm-up while building their confidence and developing their musical literacy.
🎭 Ms. Alsobrook is bringing ACTION to the stage! Her students are learning how goals create better actions and bring characters to life. Through acting, students are not only developing their performance skills—they’re learning valuable lessons about purpose, choices, motivation, and how our goals influence the actions we take in life. What a powerful lesson both on stage and beyond the stage! 🎬✨
